Dorit Amir.
// Journal of Music Therapy, 1999, XXXVI, 144-175.The article explores how music therapists in Israel and the U.S. perceive musical and verbal interventions. Music therapists are found to focus mainly on eliciting verbalizations from group members regarding music. An intervention in music therapy is taken by therapists to help clients to move on. It comes out in a musical expression of therapists while the verbal intervention in music therapy comes out in a verbal expression of therapists as a psychotherapeutic technique.
